Good Doom Guitar?

Just wondering what is a good guitar to play doom metal and slow to medium paced distortion, thanks.

hmm, only thing thats especially important for slow stuff that comes to my mind right now is long sustain so I'd look for a guitar that offers this.
also try to get a guitar that holds tuning quite well, nothing sounds as bad as a mistuned note ringing for a long time lol

Mahagony body guitars seem to be popular for that kind of sustain. There are a lot of people that use Gibson Guitars made with mahagony for doom. Not that Gibson is the only company making those guitars, nor are those guitars strictly for doom.

your best bet probably is to go to a store that stocks a lot of different guitars and try out a bunch of em. then choose what you like best.
or at least see wich one you liked the most and think about what you would change about it
