You know in life you come across bad people and lots of them. And every now and then you come across good prople. Well today Jeff (JBroll) came over and fixed my studio pc and didn't even charge me. He didn't even except dinner or money, he just did it. I just want everyone here to know that Jeff is nothing but GOOD PEOPLE. I thank him so much for doing what he did. By the way, if you read this Jeff there was 10763 threats of viruses found on my pc. Thanks again.

Holy fucking balls, I want to say I'm surprised, or that I'm not surprised, but I'm kinda both given that when I left it was as high as it was.

No problem at all, this happens all the time here. Plus, I fucking hate that Geek Squad. Let me know if anything else goes funky on that box.

Jeff

after the 7th billion pc i fixed i said fuck it, im fixing people not pc's and i'm not a people person, i'm a hardware junkie. so if you can enjoy it, then all the better.

That's what I said after Vista, myself... but that fucking Geek Squad is despicable and needs to be shot. And then the gun that shot them needs to be shot. It's saddening that such total incompetence gets amazing money, even after privacy scandals and basically formatting every other thing they touch.

Jeff

yeap, the geeksquad and every other computer repair chainstore/franchise can just die, in fact they are my best method of obtaining new business by showing customers the price difference between me and the stores.

but i don't have any sympathy for any of those people, if they are too lazy to research the problem and find the best help/solution then let the ripoff race begin.

but as for vista, i've had nothing but an awesome experience, but it also helps that i dont work with any machines over 2 yrs old, i sell or give away anything older than 2 yrs old.

I'm not sure what the Geek Squad SOP ( standard operating procedure ) is but I have a Util CD ( Geek Squad MRI CD ) that they are issued by their company and it's pretty dumb. If this CD is the extent of their abilities it's no wonder they get such bad remarks. The CD has a bunch of freeware/demo anti Spyware utils, a startup manager and a few utils to tweak windows. The CD can't really fix anything except a possible spyware infestation. I suppose though that the Geek Squad are encouraged to sell more new systems and hardware upgrades then repairs and actual service. At least here in Ohio Geek Squad is part of Best Buy, a major electronics retailer like Frys or Circuit Shitty.

Back on topic though, JBroll, good looking out homie. This Sneap forum kicks major ass and that's 99% because of the people on it. I hope it stays that way for a long time too cause i have a lot to learn...
