Good Soundcard for home studio?

Dunno if this is the right place to post this, but here goes...

I'm looking for a good soundcard for a smaller recording studio. We have an 8-channel mixer with four XLR-channels and four tele-channels.
What I'm looking for is a soundcard that either goes well with the mixer, regarding lining options etc, or a soundcard that has a couple of XLR's and a couple of tele-connections... It mustn't be too expensive either, $4-500 tops.

I'm kind of new to all this stuff, so any and all help and suggestions are welcome!

I'm not sure what you're looking for but I have a the brand new Sound Blaster Audigy 2 Platinum eX. It's fucking great for home recording. Check it out at SoundBlaster.com. It might be what you're looking for, might not.

The 1010LT is a great card for the price! I use an M-audio Audiophile (same drivers as 1010LT if I'm not mistaken) now, and I'm very pleased with it, but I'm going to supplement with a 1010LT soon for multitrack I/O.
