google chrome browser

I liked it when I first tried it, but some some bug made it constantly accessing my HDD which was a pain in the ass. ITE I switched back to FF cause I missed the extensions... especially adblock (though I found a workaround for chrome).

i copy paste all adblocks blocked sites into Opera.

Chrome is nice and fast but I still find the occasional site that doesn't work with it. That, plus the fact that my product is not certified on Chrome, means that I'm still on Firefox. Also, stupid Google tool bar doesn't work on Chrome and that's where I have all my bookmarks!

I'm a Google Fanboy.

Hence, I love Google Chrome. I love that its multi-process. As long as you have the PC for it, it can be super fast.

Of course Google toolbar won't work in Chrome. Chrome is capable of pretty much everything the toolbar can lol ESPECIALLY Google search :p

Ever look to see if there was an extension to pull in your bookmarks?

I realize Chrome doesn't *need* the toolbar but I have a lot of bookmarks there and it was a pain to transfer them out. I did look for an extension and found some horrible, cobbled together hack but it didn't work very well. Of course, that was a few months ago so maybe something new is out there. Either way, it was too painful to upgrade to Chrome because of this. They're both Google products, you would think they would consider an upgrade path of some kind, or even an import bookmarks from Google Toolbar feature...

Everything from the toolbar is on the right side of the internet address bar. Activate the Bookmarks bar, import all bookmarks from other search engine, click and drag bookmarks into said bookmark bar, and voila! If you have any bookmarks left over they'll be hidden in a column that you can access simply by mousing over it, to the right of all your bookmarks in the bookmark bar.

I believe that only imports my Firefox bookmarks, not my Google toolbar bookmarks. In fact, I just tried that and that's exactly what happened.

Ack! Well that sucks...

Actually, you were right and I was wrong. Well, mostly. The functionality didn't quite work the way you said but I found a tip someone else posted online on how to export from google toolbar and then import into Chrome and it worked. Thanks for starting me off in the right direction. Now to play with Chrome!

I use the Night theme or something like that...it's much easier on the eyes than that horrendous blue. I'm glad I could be of pseudo-help!

EDIT: It's called Late Night
