Tales from the CryptKEEPER they called it.
It was watered down for kids and not very good.
Tales from the Cryptkeeper was an animated series aimed at children made by Nelvana Television Studios and Warner Brothers Pictures. It was shown on TVO, ABC, YTV and is still shown near Halloween on Teletoon. It was based on the live-action television show, Tales from the Crypt, which aired concurrently on HBO. The series was canceled on December 10, 1994. In 1997 the show returned to the air as The New Tales from the Cryptkeeper. The animation was different from the that of the previous episodes. Being directed at children, "Tales From the Cryptkeeper" was significantly milder than the live-action HBO version.

i was terrified of the Cryptkeeper and anything to do with Tales from the Crypt when i was a child (aka still am) yet i loved Tales from the Cryptkeeper. go figure. i spazzed the hell out when i found the latter dvd at my old work. i'd also mentioned my deathly fear of the Cryptkeeper to one of the guys i worked with, went into the back for something, and when i came out he'd taken every Tales from the Crypt season we had and set them up around the cash register.

I still own a box of Goosebumps books as well as all three Scary Stories books. And I used to have two seasons of Are You Afraid of the Dark downloaded, but lost em in a hard drive crash.
