Couldn't stand the amount of room my 5150 combo was taking up, so I decided to do some surgery.

No more useless combo speakers/cab. I never used it anyway, I always just plug into my cab.

Very easy mod BTW. I'm sure I just destroyed the resale value, but oh well.

Ooh when will you do a Microcube video?

I've considered having my Bugera 6262 combo modded to a head, and buying a cab for it. I don't have the skills to do it myself though :(

Yep as XeS has said, no real skill is needed. All you need to do is pull off the tolex around the cab part, cut 3 pieces of wood with whatever saw you have, put some glue on the tolex and bottom of the wood, and cut the tolex a bit to get it to look right.

If you are good at destroying things, it would be simple for ya :-)

Im pretty sure there is a DIY on the net somewhere on how to do it. I followed one.

Heres my thread on it. I took some pics...kinda gives you an idea of how to do it.

Yep that's how you do it. I opted to glue and match up the tolex, but it's all preference.

I just noticed your combo didn't have the 2 side handles on the top. I wonder if mine is older or newer than yours, and why Peavey changed the design. Also, your cab was made out of better wood than mine... Mine is straight up particle board, yours looks like plywood.
