I reckon its either
1/ Dave told Coops he could produce deths next album.
2/ Dave is kicking out Al so Coops can join and play guitar
3/ Coops told Dave that if he didnt go back to playing fast and heavy he would slap him down. This made Dave cry, then, to make up for it Coops took Dave to have some beers, and they became best mates after telling each other about their lost loves, hopes and dreams and having a good cry at 4 am in the morning in the bar.
"I love you man", "No man, I love YOU" that kinda thing.....

Spawny... you'd be right with option 4. Although Dave did give me a big hug (it was one of those blokey hugs if any of you were starting to wonder ) after the Melbourne concert, however there was no exchange of "I love you man", "No man, I love YOU"... oh well, maybe next time...
