Paradise Lost.

They have a lot of different periods, so do your research and don't just get one album.

I would recommend getting Draconian Times and One Second as starting points. Get them both though, they sound different.

...of course, this is assuming you don't already have all their stuff.
 
Older Entwine. You might like their newer stuff too; it's a bit poppier though than Katatonia.

Also, if you're in the mood for something different, try Virgin Black.

They play really operatic, classically influenced gothic metal, with a mix of clean and harsh vocals. Check out the song "And the Kiss of God's Mouth" on their myspace.

Tristania - Beyond The Veil is one of the only gothic metal albums I've ever gotten into. It's actually pretty damned good.
