Gothic Metal recommendations

I can't say I really like this band but you could check out Evig Natt. They've got some good songs but gothic metal's never really done anything for me.

I listen to gothic metal/music...just not the female-fronted 'gothic' bands if that's what you're looking for.

Amorphis - Far From The Sun
Charon (second and third albums (The Dying Daylights is essential))
Sentenced (last half of their discography, particularly Frozen, Crimson, and White Light)
Moonspell (they've got a few good songs on each album)
Poisonblack's first album (Escapexstacy)
The Mist and the Morning Dew - Demo 2002
Paradise Lost - Gothic
Mandragora Scream - A Whisper Of Dew
To/Die/For - IV

You may also want to check out the "Beauty In Darkness" compilations, Volumes 1 through 6

and female-fronted bands: (which I don't consider half as good as anything above mentioned)

Epica
After Forever
Within Temptation
The Gathering

nothing there should be difficult to find unless you use a shitty p2p

not sure if u like is with clean vox or not, or female fronted vox (which i dont like)

this is just what i like

clean:
paradise lost - host

rapsy:
tristania - widows weeds (i hate the newer stuff from what i heard)
sirenia
before the dawn - my darkness

female fronted:
echoes of eternity (only clean female fronted band i like)

Tristania-ashes
Theatre of Tragedy-velvet darkness they fear
Within Temptation-enter

emilie autumn
although be careful because her album Opheliac has a lot of industrial stuff in it too
If you want metal-y gothic stuff then listen to her album Unlaced from her duel set Laced/Unlaced. It's purely just violin on the tracks but its really fucking sick how awesome she is at shredding. If you dont mind industrial then go for Opheliac but its kind of girly stuff the songs are about

Last time I checked, The Gathering was a rock band.

Their Goth/Doom material was male fronted, I believe.

Also, Celtic Frost's new album has elements of Goth in it.
