Gotta new vid of me playing "The Serpent's Kiss"

There are so many fun riffs to play in that song. The main one, the triplet sequences, the bridge, the middle part in Em, the first under-solo riff, the section in Dm right after the choir break, the second under-solo riff (in Fm), that dissonant outro fill...

the whole song pretty much right clarence? hahhaha. i agree with you though!

Indeed. Another favorite song of mine to play is Walls of Babylon, including:

40 seconds of ambience
Main groove in 4/4
Main groove in 6/8
Main groove in 4/4 (again)
Cool riff in 6/4
The descending 5/4 6/4 part
Keyboard solo groove
Bluesy phrygian groove
Chaotic 7/8 part
Crazy 7/8 part (8vb)
Verse build-up
Sweet fuckin' awesome bass groove
Guitar comes in!
The verse (with its wacky beat change from the previous riff)
The pre-chorus in Gm (yeah Russell is HIGH!)
Pre-chorus in Em (with those sweet staccato stops)
Chorus (easy to sing and play to, too!)
Post-chorus groove (same as before, but included due to structure issues)
Unison (same groove as intro keyboard solo)
Guitar solo (modified verse riff)
Keyboard solo in C#m!
Last verse build-up
Outro (I really wish it didn't fade)

If only there were a degree program for Symphony X Song Analysis. I'd have a PhD in like two weeks.

Stay tuned for next week's breakdown of The Odyssey!
