This was a cool band I found on gotham radio. I bought the album from Russia and it was fantastic. Definitely near the top of my list for the year.

www.celticfrost.com
Perhaps the most influential group of our time. I am very proud to say I'm friendly with a couple of the members, most particularly Ron Marks, who lives in Pennsylvania.

www.thresh.net
This was covered above, but they are fucking fantastic. I listen to their albums while I study for long stretches at my school's medical library.

Found them on Gotham radio, as well. The Inheritance of Sin and Shame was excellent, the first two were good, but underproduced. The latest, Fire, with a new singer was absolutely one of the worst albums I've ever heard.

Anyone remember Candlemass??? They broke up again, but still, some of the best doom out there.

Forbidden's homepage. These guys broke up years ago, but Twisted Into Form remains one of the greatest thrash metal albums ever made. Paul Bostaph of Slayer and Testament came from Forbidden.

Speaking of Testament:

I wanted to post my pic, but it won't let me. Oh well. I don't know why we're posting pics in the first place.
