Great Kat...Female Virtuosic Classical Shred Maestro

I've been into her for a good 10 years - I think her stuff is awesome. I think she can go a bit overboard on the shredding, but the thrash music is pretty catchy. 2 thumbs up for me.

She has a video called Castration apparently. Sorry TaylorC. I guess she got the idea before you did.
She's overrated as hell and she looks like she has 5 more STDs than are known to exist. So using your member on her could actually end up leading to a castration.

When she'll learn how to play something that doesn't sound like a neo-classical version of a Kerry King solo, then I'll respect her. Until then, I'll stick with Andy LaRocque, Vinnie Moore, Torben Enevoldsen and Michael Angelo Batio for my neo-classical fix.

Overrated? How? Almost no one has even heard of her except a good number of hard core underground metal bangers. By the way, Andy LarRocque is my all time favorite guitarist. You have sweet taste in music buddy. Michael Angelo is another one of my favorites he is actually from around where I live, met him several times. Weird guy but a nice guy.

Jennifer Batten beats the shit out of her anyway, as far as female shredders go.

Hey, you, send me that rip of the Thulsa Doom 7" plz. I have the 7" but I'd like the mp3s.

I think you guys are missing the point about the Great Kat. I mean, how can you not look at her, watch her videos and listen to her music and not laugh your ass off? She is fucking hilarious!

Do you think She would be offended if I started a Great Kat comedy Club?

Overrated was a bad choice for a word. I should have said that she overestimates herself, by a lot. Any interview with her, she makes out like she's the world's best shredder.

Andy is one of my favorite because he can shred like any other of the neo-classical shredders, but he's also very melodic yet somehow aggressive. He'll never get the credit he deserves though because he's in an actual band. Like Petrucci from Dream Theater for instance, even though he's in a band, he has all these other projects that completely focus on his guitar skills and he shows off a lot live. If Andy had a solo album or would have continued playing the solos like he did back in the 80s, he would get much more credit than he does now.
I've always heard Batio was a nice guy. As cocky as he seems on his videos and stuff like that, he seems pretty cool in interviews.
Yngwie on the other hand, I've never seen anybody say anything nice about him. I think he's overrated too. I respect him for starting that whole neo-classical style, and I think he's an amazing shredder, but there are other guitarists out there who are as good, if not better than him. They also have a much cleaner sound than he does.
