Greater Metal Scene- NYC or Tampa, FL?

Deciding where to move based on the metal scene of the two areas. Somewhere in NY near NYC and 40 min from Jersey for college, or to Tampa, Florida for college? Which would suit my need better?

Tampa considering New York has a good scene for EVERY style because it's so big it doesn't even count.

ny has no scene man.....lol i live on the jersey side..its all hardcore/emo/punk bands. i think there are two metal bands (my band included) in our whole town. and like one in south jersey that i know of. im not too sure about the city, im sure theres somewhat of a scene, but like i said, its mostly hardcore/emo/punk.
