Come to think of it, a lot of black metal is overlooked. Many metalheads only only know Darkthrone, Burzum, Graveland, Deathspell Omega, Drudkh, etc. There are many gems among the bands you don't see mentioned much. But I guess this can be said about every extreme metal genre.

Obtained Enslavement's album Soulblight and to a lesser extent Witchcraft.. Arthemesia's album Devs Iratvs.. and I could mention more but these two really stand out in my mind..

I thought they were pretty popular? (I mean, they got a LOT of mentions on the forum last year, if that's anything to go by). not that it matters much though, I'm sure he's not in some 'I listen to the most obscure bands' competition.
