Wow, I just discovered this band...very good doom metal. I highly recommend if you are one of the probable few that haven't heard of them.

The hour-long song "Light of Day, Day of Darkness" is better than most complete cds I've heard...but then again...it IS a 60 minute-long song...

It's north of Aviano...Aviano is very close to Pordenone, Pordenone very close to Venice....

So, in effect, I guess I could have said, "It's close to Venice" LMAO!

Right now I'm completely taken with the song "My Dark Reflections of Life and Death"...the dynamics of that song are perfectly layered. It's almost like watching a movie with your ears.

light of day, day of darkness is a wonderfull fucking great album!!!! I just love it, one of the best things I've ever heard! I really wonder about the new one, anyone have it?

I got the new one "a blessing in disguise"... It's really not bad at all, but I think it doesn't have the relief of "light of day, day of darkness"... but it will still grow on me for sure...

I'll post my final impressions in 1 month! :D

Journey To the End of the Night: it's basically just another In the Woods... album, but originality apart, it's a cool listen.

Light of Day, Day of Darkness: godly. one of my fave albums of all time.

A Blessing n Disguise: unbelievably cheesy sort of simplistic, boring progressive glam. yes, glam. one of the biggest disappointments of the year. it's really sad.

Blessing In Disguise maybe my fave album by them, it reminds me of something like a mixture of savatage, candlemass and newer anathema stuff. Light Of Day was a tad boring and journey wasn't all that great either

Journey: One of the most disappointing albums ever. After In the Woods, I expected more than this dross. This is absolutely dreadful, uneventful, and horribly boring music.

Light of Day: Decent, but ultimately unsatisfying. I liked it for about 10 listens, now I can't stand to listen to it all the way through. I wish it had been divided into songs as one 60 minute track is probably the worst musical idea I have heard in that you cannot fast-forward to the good parts or past the bad ones (such as that horrible part with the female vocalist). If you could skip the bad parts, it would be a much better album.

I haven't heard the newest, so I can't comment, but I haven't heard really anything good about it yet.

I would not call them doom metal whatsoever, more like progressive metal. They don't have that doom sound, and they are not really depressing at all. They instead have a very noticable lack of atmosphere, emotion, and mood, which is why I find them to be so mundane. Omnio is at least 1,000 times better than all Green Carnation put together, easily.
