+1 to this. I had one before and I only ever really liked it with my Cobra. Sounded alright with some Marshalls, but nothing great. Weird.

You have to be careful of SPL levels, as the Greenbacks are efficient but are only rated for 20 or 25W. A V30 can handle up to 60W and a G12H30 handles 30W but neither of them seem to overpower the Greenback, at least in my 2x12 cab. I'm assuming a G12T-75 (75W) or G12K-100 (100W) would overpower a Greenback in that cab, so the higher rated drivers are not good choices.
To answer your question, V30 or G12H30 are great matches but I haven't tried any non-Celestion drivers with it.

I like it a lot.
I'm using it with 2 of the original Greenbacks that came on the cabinet and 2 of the new Heritage ones that are exactly as the new EVH ones.
Can't say which ones I like more, just different flavors.
On the cabinet, I never heard another one next to the TV so I can't comment on which cabinet I like more.
But that made me thinking that I should listen to the greenbacks on a different cabinet.

Thing is, i really wish i could compare but i can't see myself walking in some shop and asking to swap speakers in a cab.
No friends of mine own a 4x12 cab with different speakers. It would be better comparing with the same cab (same construction, brand etc). Btw any cabs you prefer more than others ? (i mean by that the actual cab not the speakers)
