diapause is a state of suspended animation. triops eggs know not to hatch when they're out of water, but once in water, HATCH! i'm not sure how or why it would make transplanting a shrunken human head onto a triops body easy, but since alcor life extension foundation is studying cryogenics and diapause, i thought it sounded good.
