Groove in 5 streaming on SoundClick

Playing around with the numbers 5 and 3. There's a swing part in there and I'm not sure if its 3/4 or 6/8 but its pretty groovy.
This is just a basic rhythm track for now.
Everything used is in my sig, but I'll post signal chains if anyone is interested.
Excuse the sloppy playing, it was a bit of a rush job because I haven't done much lately and wanted to at least finish the rhythms.
I'm no Bulb.

Sounds really good to me.

The ringy-ness of the snare bugs me a little, but it might be because it seems a little too loud in the mix. I like how good the snare sounds in the quick rolls or ghost notes or whatever you want to call them.

What were you using for drums?

+1 on the snare.

Could be dropped in volume, but I love the ringiness and wouldn't change a thing. You COULD drop the velocity on those ghosts notes midway through though, just a touch, I think.

Thanks guys!!!
I'm using Addictive Drums and took a screenshot for you all, showing the snare settings... the only difference is that I turned the snare volume down a bit before I took the screenshot.
Sorry for the poor quality, tinypic resizes everything, but hopefully it is clear enough for you to make out the settings.
Cheers :kickass:

nice! the panning effect in the intro is confusing my senses!

everything sounds really hardassed and fat and crunchy and other adjectives. i like it! nice grooves going on there, although i would "continue" the drum patterns instead of "resetting" after each measure, just to get that continuous groove feel going.

Thanks for posting the .jpeg

Lasse if I get a chance today I will pull up AD and try to make some samples.

Alrighty, I went and through and pretty much got the snare sound. I turned off the FX processing (which is mostly reverb) because I figured everyone would rather add that on their own.

There are 8 "Hard" samples, 8 "Medium", 8 "Soft" and 8 "Ghost Notes".

Also included is the unsliced .WAV, and the reaper project file that has the AD settings.

Huge thanks to lilhermiejobo for the settings!!

Wait, what? You can't just rip samples off of AD and share them here!

 Kickass dudes!!! Thank you all for the feedback on this!!!
I'm headed to bed, but tomorrow after work I'll post a couple more screenshots of the guitar and bass chains.
I ran both direct into the podxt pro and then out via mono analog cable and while I'm not 100% sure on this, the rhythm guitars were double tracked using the criminal amp model (I think) and the bass was just a preset from the bass expansion albeit the presence knob 100% using either: bx rock classic or the bx 360.
I'm pretty stoked that you guys are responding so well. I'm starting to feel like all the countless hours I spend reading this forum are beginning to pay off.
Hopefully I haven't helped anyone to get in any trouble by posting those settings
Ah, before I forget, the josh von bovi tone test WAS done using AD, as well :kickass: Cheers!!!
