i can listen to slipknot and mudvayne without killing whoever is playing it (depending on the song) and though i am listening to Suffocation right now, i was listening to coheed and cambria and recently i spent half an hour cleansing myself of all linkin park music...if it weren't for the metal channel on directv showing me pantera and soilwork (which led to my discovery of progressive death and death-thrash and black metal)...i would probably be a preppy tool...(not the band tool...but a tool)
