Guitar editing

if someone hired you to mix a song and they provide DI's that were out out timing,I don't see the big deal in having to edit those to time. If they provided you with already dirty guitar tracks that were out of time would you have them rerecord the guitar tracks to were there in time instead of editing them since the wave form(what ever it's called)is a lot more hectic now and I wold imagine a pain to edit?

I would imagine that depends on their budget and willingness.
If they didn't provide DI's and the performance is out of time and unusable I would venture to guess that they are not serious and could care less about re recording or spending more money.
I guess talking to them and voicing your concerns is about the only thing you can do.
