Im still using the first GP5 version... i can't stand the newer versions, guitar tones are really sludgey and horrible.. i just stick with the original GP5 without using RSE drums...

really, if this is all thats keeping you from updating Guitarpro, you should just update it and ignore the sound. It is the tab itself that you're learning the song from isn't it?
