Couldn't find a good thread on this...I've got all my pedals on the floor and after seeing Live Apocalypse, I'm thinking about putting my pedals up in my rack and using one foot switch and router. So much more simple!

I don't know much about this. I found this (http://www.voodoolab.com/products.htm) but I'd like something a bit less intricate, maybe more cost effective. What are you guys using? What's good, what's bad?

you need something like this http://www.advancetubetech.com/eng/LS42.php, that's an italian company, it's a lot cheap and does the job well done, and you can see has midi in and out, I don't know if you can find it in the us.
Customaudioelectronics is the company of Mr Bob Bradshaw, the man behind so many guitar rigs, I think that is so expensive have something made by Bob, better go for something cheap.
The first that comes to my mind is Rob from machine head, he has his rig custom modded by Bob.... a lot of pedals ehehhe
Anyway voodoo lab is great, has great pedals and stuff.

the midi switcher I posted is the cheapest and is for 4 pedals, you can hook up to 2 units in a standard 15'' rack adaptor that they build.
Try sending them an email to see if it's distributed in the us, maybe you can find a dealer.
I don't know if there's something cheaper than rocktron or voodoo labs or the advance, I don't know.

I'd say "Welcome to the beauty and joy of rackmounted and midi controlled effects!" If you have 4 or less pedals get an Axess Electronics GFX4. http://www.axess-electronics.com

It's a superb switcher that is as good as any on the market and only $225USD. Once you get your pedals off the floor not only will switching be easier but you can get much better sound by not running so much cable to your rig. Once I got a midi loop switcher I could never imagine going back to a mess of stomp boxes.

I'd start hanging out at Huge Racks Inc. http://www.hugeracksinc.com. It's a mainstay for players of rack based guitar rigs as well as top rig builders and equipment manufacturers.
