Some of you may remember me telling a story about how I lost my ring finger on my right hand. So it's been a battle getting my chops back where they used to be due to the 4 year layoff. :erk:

So besides the obvious keep playing. What is a good technique to getting my stamina up? I used to be able to play 10 hours at a time. These days 15-20 mins and my fingers turn to spaghetti. Then I have to rest them for about 10-15 mins before playing again. I fear this will become a bad habit in the long run or am I just being paranoid?

I know there is tons of info out there and everyone is different. Still, I'm looking to see how my fellow board members would deal with this situation.

There is no quick way to do it. Just keep playing and playing, it will take time. Though I don't think playing for 10 hours per day is a good idea. 2 or 3 hours should be more than enough, if you set goals or targets.

Lol fo sho.

Seriously man, Tornio has it covered. Only thing really is just keep it up. I use to only be able to play thrash stuff for like..barely any amount of time, but I just worked and worked at it, and eventually I was able to play it all the time no problems. I know that sucks to hear, but it really is the tr00f.

Yeah, I had it coming. Sucks to go backwards and start all over. Starting back up on a baritone probably wasn't the best Idea either. Well thanks anyways, will play my ass off till I get back or better. Oh the years down the drain is the most frustrating part. At least I don't have to learn theory all over again. Thats still fresh in my mind. Guitar is definitely not like a bike.
