Hey, I've been trying to get some heavy/crunchy sounding guitar tones so I was wondering if you could help me out.
Not 'mixing' on anything good. Just using some Grado SR-60's through my Macbook.
I tried to keep mid's low to prevent what I felt was sounding 'muddy' and then some upper-mids/highs to give some crunch. But is it too much?
I know the mixing isn't the best. I haven't EQ'd anything other than the guitars really, I just have drums, etc. on there so I can have something to listen to all together. Mainly I'm just asking for opinions on the guitars. Thanks!
