Guitards

So I'm running FOH saturday for a signed band. Not mentioning names but they're in revolver this month.

Guitard number one is running a 6505 with a 6505 cab and a POWERED SUBWOOFER. He mic'd that with a D6 that he brought himself.

I brought up the pfl in the cans and listened to the glorious 150hz mud he was feeding me.

Muted the channel and gave him the thumbs up, then shelved the guitars at 100 like I always do.

The band and crew were very complimentary on the clarity of the gtrs afterwards

You know...it was one thing when Dime was using a 4x12 and a 2x15 in stacks...but *powered*? All I can see is like one of those Philips powered subs that come with 5.1 systems at Wal-Mart set up next to a 6505. Haha

Was it one of those ISP things? Couldn't imagine ever using one of those live, but maybe in the studio for a quiet thickener or rehearsals without a bass player.

Is this a deathcore band? I can totally see a deathcore band doing this. Do they had three guitarists that play 8 strings tuned with the to the bass in E. Or maybe the woofer is for the bass drops.
