Here are two other bands (as I said before, I did individual mixes for each band):
Two totally different approaches.
My Favorite Scar had pod xt pro's (which I enjoyed), a separate drumset and in-ear monitors. Which meant complete silence on stage, the only bleed was cymbals in the singer's mic. Another exciting thing I noticed is that their overhead mics were placed under the cymbals. "Underheads", so to say And it gave quite a nice result, I loved it. Plus, it's handy and saves space.
Cantilena are an old school thrash metal band. More dirt, more roughness, but the genre demands it. The band has one guitarist, so I did a false doubletrack to thicken his tone a bit.
