Melodic Tech Metal: Full Mix (6505+Mesa, 100% natural snare \m/)

Ok, I had a thread a while back of just I think the guitars and drums, well now we have tracked bass and vocals and this is my 2nd mix, really liking this one:

Again, natural snare, kick and toms are 100% replaced, guitars are Explorer with 85>TS9>6505>MesaOS>SM57 slightly off-axis, quad tracked. Really proud of those two particular elements of the mix, the guitars and drums.

The snare definitely leaves something to be desired... could use some more highend (5kish) IMO, for starters.

Good mix. The snare sounds good, but a bit dry. I'd turn the verb up a bit.

Guitars are great, and the overally natural sound is working well. I'd even try a slight notch in the 800hz on snare and yeah maby a uplift at 5k

Sick mix Mike. I really like the natural snare, but I would brighten it up a tad and give it some verb. Everything else sounds fabtastic.

Thanks dudes, I actually agree about the snare being too dry. I will mess with it tomorrow though, busy for now
