This is a little sample of guitars I recorded last saturday for an HC band.
Amps used were 6505+ through Marshall 1960 cab, sm57 and ADK S7 and Dual Recto through Mesa OS and sm57 (a little lower in the mix).

I did reamps with Recto + Marshall and 6505 + Mesa but I had some very weird problems with them and I ended up using the only 2 left.
I'm very happy anyway...very chunky!

I really love my Marshall cab. I was not that comfortable with the Mesa because it was the first time I miced it so I didn't know it very well. I had to find the best speaker before micing etc... but at the end I got a decent sound out of it. Actually I prefer the 6505 instead of the Dual Recto with the mesa cab...but maybe it was only because it was the first time also for the Recto :D

If you don't mind, could you share Dual Recto settings?
Did you use the green channel in Peavey?
And were the mics on-axis or off-axis? Differente speakers?

Very good tone man, I like it.

Mesa was like:

Gain: 6
Bass: 6
Mids: 5
Treb: 6 (or 7)
Pres: 6 (or 7)

Sorry but I didn't note the settings. Mics were on Axis, sm57 on the junction and the S7 close to it (center speaker side, not the external side), same speaker.
I used the red channel on the Peavey but mine has the green led on the red channel (it's unique ahah...it has also a removable power chord on the back...and it's not modded).
