I don't like the way Fenders look, but I love the way they play. Anyone want to recommend me a brand that uses necks similar to fender?

depending on your budget and if you can find one to try, my ibanez model john petrucci is quite similar to my american fender neck shape wise. they are complete different guitars for the most part but the necks have the similar round shape though the ibanez is a compound radius and dont think the fender is so the higher you get up on the neck the the ibanez will get a bit more comfortable imo.

Wich one did you try ?
They're a few diffrent neck profil, nut wide and radius by Fender.

Build the guitar "you" want but use a fender neck? Everyone's happy!!! Seriously - I've thought of doing that, but truth be told - unlike you, I love Fender Strats - my next guitar will be one.

My Yamaha Pacifica 812 has a pretty Fender-ish neck. Though to echo what's already been said Fender do a few different profiles so it's probably best to go out and try some guitars yourself...

My stepdad's American Strat. Play like a dream, I was like Yngwie on that bitch! :kickass:

I think I might just buy a Mexican Fat Strat, see how that turns out, and maybe put in a JB.

What is it about the Fender you don't like ? And do you mean strat, tele, or what?

Musicman guitars have an identical or even smaller nut width than Fender. It has that familiar C-shaped back contour neck. Radius is different though. the musicman is 10" that's closer to a Les Paul than what Fender has with different radius options of 7.25, 9.5, & 12.

For that vintage feel, the musicman luke has the V shaped neck which u can find on Fender 57' strats.

^If he doesn't like the shape of strats, he might not like Charvels either.
I'm thinking he'd like EBMM guitars.

I'm deciding to go all out and make it my last guitar. I'm going Warmoth

Soloist Shape
Mahogany Body
Flamed Maple Carved Top
H/H configuration

For the neck I'm just going to get Fender specifications, and the Warmoth (PRS pretty much) headstock. 1.1k. Shit's going to be off the wall.
