Guns N' Roses: Chinese Democracy

I think almost all of the song that has leaked are kick ass so i'm looking farward to the cd ..... but thats maybe only me

Where's Guns N' Roses in that vid or in that song? I only see somebody who calls himself Axl Rose but that sounds nothing like him and who changed the underwear style for the leather jacket and the fancy hairstyle. About the music, sounds profesional and the leads are somehow cool, but sounds nothing like GnR. Oh, and the vid fucking sucks. I even prefer Immortal's Call Of The Winter Moon vid.

I liked it..not off the bat though, grows on you. Preferred Better tho..

:erk: Leather jackets are so GnR,the white Paradise C one, black Sweet Child one not to mention Slash wearing them constantly..I know what you mean though but they were always fashionable kinda guys, the bandanas with backwards caps over them, hotpants, leather pants etc. There just moving on with whats fashionable nowadays and being current. Axl's always been one to keep evolving and changing styles, the Use Your Illusion albums bare little resemblance to Appetite in fairness, except 'You could be mine' but that was origionally to be on Apetite anyways..'Get in the ring' has kinda got an Appetite vibe too, but c'mon November Rain,Yesterday, Civil War, all very different from the atmosphere AFD was about.
What I've heard off Chinese Democracy is a credit to Axls willingness to continue to evolve and challenge himself, and not to fall back into predictable sleazy, seedy Appetite style songs that characterised the 80s, despite that doing so would def make the band more popular with its old fans thus generating more money..eg the style VR ended up going with for Contraband, tho that does have its own vibe too..

Chinese Democracy sounds well thought out but not overly impressive unfortunately imo,I was expecting gutsy, les Paul style, epic solos and stuff from the new guys but it hasn't delivered yet..cant wait to hear the rest of the album so I can judge the 13 years of effort better :)

and just too let you guys know this isn't the real video, it's fan made. And it isn't the real singel it's a newer demo that leaked some time ago.

^And you've taken that from?

Don't get me wrong, I'm not a big fan neither I've followed them and neither do I know more than 20% of their discography, but I would never have imagined Chinese Democracy to sound like that. It sounds waaaaaaaaay too average and has nothing really cool that stands out and makes me want to listen to the track again, whereas songs like Sweet Child O Mine or Paradise City did have that thing. Besides, if that's all Axl can do nowadays, he's lost like 80% of his vocal register, which was his main weapon and one of the things that made GnR interesting, alltogether with Slash, who is gone.

Dunno, for me it's like if Kim got 4 new dudes and released a new Sinergy album that sounded goth-oriented rock thing Evanescence like. Ok, the name of the band would be Sinergy but to me that wouldn't be Sinergy. Still, not a big fan so my judgement will probably not be as accurate as it'd be if we were talking about Bodom or Sinergy or other bands that I'm real fan of and that I really know.

buckethead is the only good thing about this album

the whole thing is available for streaming on the band's myspace, btw
