H&K cream machine question

Hi,
a friend of mine it's going to lend me his H&K cream machine. It has many outputs. I want to know if I can use the MIX OUT to record directly into my soundcard without breaking it, or if I can only use the cab emulator out (cabinetulator output). I would like to use it with some cab impulses.
Some people tell me that I can do it, some others says that i will fuck it up.
If anyone have got one of this, please help me.
