6505 reamping help

Hi,

iam asking about reamping. Is there any possible way to reamp without reamp box, or di? I have m audio fast track pro soundcard. I heard that if you use rca output to the amp it will be okay. I hava and idea to record sound from amp and then use cab impulses. Is there any way to record without cab pluged in? Can i plug cable from power amp directly to input at soundcard (-20dB pad) or do i really need di box?

I had always big problems with hum and noise when not using a reamp box. Wasn't useable the result..so i bought one. Especially to your soundcard i can't answer...but for your question concerning not using a cab you should read this:

yep, if you run your amp without a dummy load and no cab you will blow the output transformer
