Looks quit a bit like PS3's menu system... which is quite a bit easier to navigate and understand than the current xbox 360 one.

Also, um fuck yes having your accounts on a cloud type server.

Technically, MS had that setup in Windows Media something or other first, years before the PS3 came out. So, technically, PS3's menu system looks like Window's Media menu system. I'd have to find the link but a bunch of people were discussing it on one of the tech blogs I frequent.

Anyway, I have played with a couple of Windows Phone 7 devices and dislike that UI for a phone. However, it looks great for the XBox menu, I look forward to this update.

ah sorry man, missed the bit about voice control. yeah, that sounds a bit like a novelty feature to me too.

if your xbox was full of content like dozens of movies, images, music and arcade games i could see the advantage of using it but for the casual user, that sounds like something you use once and go "wee my xbox understands my voice" and then forget about it.
