I just looked up and there she was. The sound was muted so I didn't know what she was being interviewed for at the time, but it cut to the newscaster and he made this eyebrow-raised face that made me think it was something pretty dubious.

and then FuSoYa woke me up to tape it the next day, and it turned out they only broadcast Mia's face for 1 second and no interviews at all.

The Raelians held a cult meet n greet dinner in Boston yesterday that we went to. There were only 12 people there and news crews from FOX, NBC, CBS, and WGBH! There was a stupid lady who was asking dumb questions and trying to get the meeting leaders (named Azita and Mehron) to say stuff on camera that made Raelians look crazy. I hated her, and the meeting leaders (who had awesome Rael-star pendants!) were having trouble defending themselves because of the language barrier (they had these accents that were a mix of Iranian and French Canadian), so, having done research on Rael, we took it upon ourselves to fervently defend them against this stupid lady. So anyway I guess the news people thought we were Raelians or something so they interviewed us afterwards!

I should add that everyone else there was over 40 except for a BU sophomore who loked very scared and didn't say a word the whole time. Also everyone except us had an accent (English wasn't their first language).

One of the Raelians was a Mt. Holyoke professor lady! She was really cool though and invited us to a lecture she was giving about ABDUCTION AS AN ART FORM!!!

My boss just pulled me aside and asked me if I had a brother who was "in a band in Boston". Apparently he had seen the Raelian thing. He said that FuSoYa was very articulate, apparently, because they used multiple quotes from him...

Not the one tomorrow, because I have no car. She said that they're always going to be on weekdays too, so if I hear of one in Western Mass and the day works for me to skip work, I will totally go.
