I have to admit the first Rocky movie sucks you in and gets you involved in the story....but that's because Stallone played it safe, i.e., get people emotionally involved in the underdog's quest, his one shot at immortality, blah blah blah and then he gets beaten to a pulp and between rounds Burgess Merideth slips him a line of coke and he gets his second wind.
