Hammerfall - Chapter V

SavaRon,
It's heavy on the cheese, but no band except maybe, Fozzy is more "velveeta"
than Dream Evil!!!!!!

Yeah, I bought the Dream Evil disc blind also. I knew what I was getting into and I agree it is a huge block of cheese. I still enjoy it though. I guess I was in a cheesy mood that day aside from the Overkill CD which is killer I must say. When you call your CD "The Book of Heavy Metal", I think most peole know what to expect, but some of those lyrics could have been written by a 10 year old! :loco: It's a fun CD to crank up in the car!

Hammerfall hasnt been the same since Jesper Stromblad stopped writing for them ... with that said i like Hammerfall but by no means love them ... they drive me nutz ... hahaha but the New album is actually Very Good!

I've only listened to it once since I bought it  it was good enough but I figure I need to listen to it more before songs start sticking...

Just like the thrash era ended (for many bands) in 89, there are many dated bands out there starting late 04, although many are still at it, but yeah, another example of the progpower bands going stale.

This is true, I still love Hammerfall but Inflames is my favorite band. Now if Jesper would just take back hold of the reigns in inflames and stop letting Anders have any say so, wed be good. Dimension Zero anyone?????

Yeah but don't you love cheese with style? I mean they KNOW they are doing it as cheesy as money can buy, and they enjoy it to the maximum. If you check the DVD companion in TBOHM you'll see how un-serious they took themselves.

I love DE, and I hope they come with a new album soon. Sadly Gus G is no longer with the band, but I do know they will come with a suitable replacement.

A couple of other cheesy bands great to hear are Cryonic Temple and Majesty.
