happy birthday doomcifer

11 hour drives are awesome. Being American is cool. :kickass:

I think the most I ever drove was 700 miles in one day. Zion, Utah to ???, Montana, finally stopping when I found a hotel that didn't scare my wife. I went the back way through truly glorious country, never knew how beautiful Idaho was until I saw no man's land out there. I had to turn around and take another way at one point since there was a giant thunderstorm and I didn't trust the Mazda's biodegradable tires in any form of wet.

Now I do ADHD road trips, stopping every hour or so to wander along the side of the road. My marathon days are over, Jeeps are more exciting at 5mph anyhow.

Heh yeah that's perfect

Dude you should put that in your signature.

I shall consider it - I now feel the awkward pressure to do so.

Haha. I'm here now and in paradise. What a lil slice of heaven here.

Minden, ON. Ru Canadian brethren aware? Horseshoe Lake.

Haven't been to Horseshoe lake area specifically, but I've been to various places a bit further west in the Muskokas. It really is a beautiful region, love the area around Port Carling.

I've been drinkng for two days. Having Talisker Storm currently. Brilliant
Happy birthday Ken

Because people are stupid and will pay is the simplest answer. Ontario is one of the worst offenders of this - Southern Ontario is quite frankly overpopulated and there are a lot of immigrants and wealth that continue to pour in.

Ontario has some of the worst pricing (check housing prices for a laugh one day) and taxation of any province or territory, and the highest electricity bills per usage (almost double most other provinces). Our gas prices are only defeated by Quebec, if I remember correctly. The shitty thing is that outside of the region you were in, there's no geographical benefit to being here compared to say, BC or AB, who have fantastic mountain ranges suitable for biking, riding motorcycles, skiing/snowboarding, etc, compared to our relatively boring and flat land.
