Happy OOOOOOOLD Amp Day to Me

This thing is 2 years older than me!
I got for fucking CHEAP, cause it was defective....had it fixed in 30 mins, was only a grid resistor to replace.
It still has the stock tube, and know what? I'll keep those ancient 12ax7 in there, they just don't make tubes like those anymore...

the poweramp will be equipped with =C= and I'll also replace all the filter caps tomorrow (should probably be due after 32 years).

but even with the old tubes and caps it sounds fucking beast already....

I just reamped something through it....unfortunately the wrong cab and riff for this amp, can't fucking wait to play some thrash through it once the caps and tubes are replaced.

This was just boosted with an 820 with drive on 9:00 and level on 1:00
as I said, this was just a quick test to see IF it works at all, so don't judge the sound too harshly (can you even use that as an adverb?)

A little too much in the lower mids, and a bit of yuck fizz up top, but as you said, it's just a quickly done clip and it's obviously a great amp.

A buddy of mine has one of these and I borrow it ALL THE FUCKING TIME! To me its the holy grail of Hardrock / Classic 80s metal tone. The JMP 2203 is just a fucking beast of an amp when pushed with a TS. DUDE ... YOU HAVE TO TRY A PROCO RAT IN FRONT OF IT! It gets all nasty and thick in the mids ... so fucking juicy!
