Har-bal, anyone?

Is anybody here using this program? I checked the demo video a while ago and it seems pretty interesting. There is a demo version available but it only works with 8 bits and has a bunch of other drawbacks as well, so I won't bother.

Anyway, please fill me in if you have some experience with this thing!

Well, i have freefilter.. but i stopped using it...

Thing is, and i don't know if hairball does more then just copy the EQ curve and slaps that on your EQ settings, but after a while, it just never worked out properly for me at all... it took up a shitload of RAM as well..

It won't match EQ curves at all, it will only display them. You can manually match two curves (it displays curves for peak level, average level, and geometric mean level), but that takes a long time and a lot of clicks, and goes against the point of the program. The only "automatic" EQ process fixes any obvious frequencies that are lacking or too prominent. All other adjustments are made via hand and ear.
It's a very useful program; if anything, it trains your ears for mastering. I used to use it all the time, though I don't use it as much nowadays, but only because I've learned quite a bit from it.
