I recently engineered this track for a hardcore\metalcore band, and I'm a prog head so I think this is ghey as shit, but whatever.

Gear Used:
Superior Drummer 2.0 drums
Axe Fx II for all guitars
Cleans = NTK > Firestudio 2626
Growls were produced in a different city.
My personal reflections:
I need to learn how to set up intonatation on guitars\basses. If anyone can recommend any good source material, I'd love to read it.
I feel the guitar tone needs revamping and could use more life, but I feel that was an issue with the source (my patch).
I also felt that when I sent the track to the mastering engineer, the snare lost a LOT of it's life and presence in the mix. I mixed the track with my own faux 2buss mastering, but I guess it didn't accurately show how the mix would sound after mastering. Any advice on getting that massive Sturgis style smack of a snare?
And any advice on workflow for slip editing. It takes so long and I feel like clawing my eyes out hahah.
