Hardcore Mix.........need help with vocals and cymbals...

Hi to all i need some help with vocals and cymbals in this song.........the cymbals are very noise and the vocals i can't make more space in the mix....

Some trick for the cymbals...........sidechain with snare?

Drop the highs on the cymbals. Heaps. You don't want them to be that edgy bro!! Probably around 8-12k, by about 3 or 4 db should do it nicely. Maybe not even that much.
Also, I can't stress enough how much you need to use a pop filter on the vox when you're tracking! If you aren't already, replace the kick with a sample and turn off dynamic tracking.
With the vox, compress them like 16:1 at -30db and edit out the garbage. This will really squash them into the mix. Probs bring the snare up a bit too!
Other than that, pretty acceptable mix!
You shouldn't need to sidechain the snare btw.
