I have quite a few more...I think the movie helped them a bit. Love it...pretty funny in some spots!

The movie helped them for sure !
They are also playing on the Graspop Metal festival
in Belgium next year, wich is a very big festival !

I've listened to Anvil for over 25 years. The movie turned the band into a fad at best and a vanity project for Sacha Gervasi at worst. The kids will move onto to something else next year.

Someone posted a thread about hot topic on another board and there was an anvil shirt in the picture so yeah I think it really helped them out. Sadly I doubt they'll ever blow up to the size of a lot of the bands that are huge now because of their style but it seems like the movie really helped them!

At very least it should mean that from now on they should be a relatively household name and won't be playing to 10 people getting paid in oats or whatever it was.
