Have any of the shows been recorded?

The metal detectors in Chicago and Detroit probably discouraged bootleggers, but Frankie said he saw someone in the crowd filming in Detroit..

Metal detectors, shmetal detectors. Those hand wand "toys" are ineffective on anything other than knives and things that are all, or mostly, metal.
Audio and video recorders are mostly plastic, and the plastic housings also help mask any of the internal metal parts.
Only real metal detectors, like the ones in airports, will pick up things like recorders.
I've been through over 100 hand wand metal detector searches at concerts since the 80s and never didn't get in.

Although, I did hear that the metal detectors went off like crazy when the band walked in the door. (get it?) :p

There was a guy taping on the floor right behind me. I have seen many people tape at Harpos with no one stopping them...even if they had no pass.
I meant Chicago.

I know this, but the metal detector in Detroit was one you talk through. I don't know if it's equivalent to an airport one though. I know I have a Dio audio bootleg from Harpos from last year. Besides, even if the wands don't get everything, it may discourage the less adventurous (sp?) from even trying to get something in.
