I hope everyone has fun this year at Prog Power. I'd like to be there, but as many of you know, I am stuck in Iraq for the next five months or so. It's not too bad, all things considered, since I don't leave the base at all, but it's pretty much Ground Hog Day, every day. I do get to listen to my iPOD, so I am not music-deprived and I've even seen a fair amount of football games, but I'd much rather be back in the states than here.

Drink a beer (or two) for me!

Kevin

Thank you so much for your service and duty to our country. As an ex Army officer i salute you and what you are doing. My prayers go out to you and your comrades, take care and be safe. This Bud is for you my brother.

Hey, Kevin. My son just came back, but he can't come either, since he has to go directly back to school. He was on the base in Balad and basically, gave the same report, boring and brown. When he arrived back at the VTANG base in Vermont he couldn't get over how beautiful it looked even though he's lived there for a couple of years.

Well, hang tough, dude. In which branch are you serving?

Thanks and God Bless You for all you're doing over there. What size shirt you wear?PM me that and an addy and I'll try to gather up some stuff to make a ProgPower care package for ya. I'm pretty sure you're covered many times over on the "drink a beer or two for me" :)

Cheers,
Jeff

Thank you for serving our country in the "sandbox" (as I've heard it called).

I'm a civilian for the DoD, so we're pulling for you every day from back home.

I'm glad to hear you have your iPod with you. At least you can listen to some good tunes during your down time.

Good luck and hope you make it back here in one piece and see you at the next ProgPower.

I got an idea, let's get some CD's together and send them to Kevin In IRAQ. That way he can have all the good music he needs. Let's get LANCE, and KEN, and ZANE to donate some music and then if Keving will give us his address we can mail them to him. Anyone game for this????

Thanks and bless you and all the other men & women of the armed forces for all you're doing over there. You will get a rockin' show soon, though it may not be what you'd like to hear but he really cares about you all over there!

I'd gladly donate something to that care package!!!

Kevin!

If you think about it, ProgPower is just like what you're doing... except, instead of a sea of desert camouflage, it's going to be a sea of black metal shirts. :) Plus, you get to pick your own lineup.

Hang in there, and good luck. See you next year!

Ya. Good plan.

Thank you Kevin.

Kevin;

Real life takes precedence over everything else. What you are doing is protecting the freedoms that we hold dear, so we can have the ability to have events such as this. That is far more important then and single festival. Thank you and may God keep you safe.

Peace,
Ray C.

I'm skipping this year too. Keep yer head low and come back safely.

Thanks everyone for the good words. I appreciate the offer for sending cds my way, but honestly I am good -- I have a 60 gig IPOD full to the brim with goodness. If anyone wants my mailing address for letters or whathaveyou, please drop me an email at kwmadden at gmail dot com and I'll get back to you right away.

Thanks!

Kevin

Wow, I completely forgot that you were back over there, having just seen you not too long ago here in VA. We will definitely miss you, but we understand and appreciate the reason for your absence.

Stay safe, Kevin. We look forward to seeing your preppy metal ass again SOON!
