Have you guys ever tried the ampsimulator in Cubase?

I just tried it today and I was surprised that the amp simulator that comes with Cubase doesn't sound half bad. I mean, not the best thing ever and couple of the amp options are just horrible, but I'd still say it's very usable for quick demoing purposes, and it's also pretty CPU friendly.

Left is the Cubase AmpSimulator (Modern + Cabinet 2), Right is Pod Farm (Threadplate Dual).

I use it sometimes during pre-production but i wouldn't put it on a final product.

Which mode? Modern + something?

i dont remember exactly, but i used the mesa emulation there with different impulses (guitarhacks mesa)
