He you stoner/doom people

Have you guys heard Fireball Ministry? Their newest album "The Second Great Awakening" has been in my cd player for the last 2 day! Killer stoner riffs with a singer that has just a pinch of Ozzy in him.

I've personally never been too big on doooom. I see doom metal as potential energy. The entire time I'm listening to it, I wait for the band to take off and start shredding but sadly they do not.

I have never heard Fireball Ministry but I've heard good things...they seem to make their way into a lot of mags lately like Metal Edge and such. I'll have to hunt down a copy and see what's doin' with them. www.metal-sludge.com had a 20 questions with one of the members a few weeks back and they seem cool....

I've never heard this band either. I'm a real Doom snob. I only like a few Doom & Stoner bands, but I'll check them out. I love trying out new bands. New to me that is.

because it is used to describe mostly bands that play just heavy/hard rock, and it is mostly doing bad to these bands

Yes I listened and they sound pretty good. What other Doom and Stoner bands do you like?

I'm not a huge fan of the scene, but every once in a while a stoner band will come along that I like. The last one was Orange Goblin. Their album "Time Travelling Blues" was one of my favorite album of that year.

Weird! I checked out the video, some strange sounding stuff.
