I have a pretty good grasp on Theory but im getting a little confused on how you can use the same scale in two different keys within the same riff.
I was just wondering if someone could explain it a bit better as ive been trying to figure it out to gain a better understanding. It starts with a series of tritones (which im not sure how to create but have memorised the shape) a hungarian gipsy minor, an A Harmonic minor and D harmonic minor along with some Arpeggios thrown in there E major and Fsharp major 11.
From what i gather the Emajor would be played over the Open Es and E5 chord in the rhythm. and the Fsharp over the Fsharp5. but the rest im not so sure about, He mentions focusing back to the flatB5 and im guessing because thats what the 8 bar rhythm ends on each time round.
I was just wondering if people could explain the use of the Tritones and scales and how they work, where and why.
