The thing I was thinking about when I saw the video is: If she has never ever heard the English language before in her entire life, how is she able to understand it just like that? I don't think she was able to lip read all the sentences the nurse spoke.
Maybe it's just me and very, very limited experience but I imagine people born deaf have a completely different kind of "inner voice" that doesn't have to be remotely similar to how it actually sounds like.
Maybe someone more enlightened can explain this, I'm very curious about this.

yeah and like i said earlier, she isn't even looking at her lips at that one point.
