heh heh heh... look at this book i came across

sex > god

Seriously though, I understand why something like that would be written, as sex is really unavoidable on even network TV nowadays, and I find it a bit disturbing. Stuff like that show Temptation Island is something I would NOT want my 12 year old watching.

Two problems I have with the church's take on sex:
a) Sex is not for recreation. Okay idiots, why on earth would nature, or god, or chance make it such a physically appealing process then? If sex didn't feel good, guess what!? The human race would die off! At least I understand that they have to take a hardline stance on this bit though, otherwise it would be completely meaningless. As it stands it's just foolish. :D

b) No jerkin' off. Give me a fucking break. Let's just say that every 16 year old practices absitence. Can you imagine the carnage of a high school classroom full of these same physically and emotionally deranged (by virtue of their age) minds running around with a loaded gun?

One last thing, porn and prostitution are necessary to society, you gotta keep the perverted male mind occupied to avoid an overabundance of rape.

Did anybody reading or writing this book stop and think: "Perhaps sex is NATURAL?" What a novel idea!
We are animal, just like everything else on this forsaken little planet, and our physical purpose is to reproduce. However, we as creative, thinking, individuals have a seperate purpose, which is happiness. But how is beating yourself for being imperfect anything BUT detrimental to your short life here on Earth? That's the real thing you need to be worried about: right now. Don't be stupid, don't get high school girls pregnant, and remember, an excess of ANYTHING (including sexual practices) is unhealthy. By everything, I mean an excess of TV, of religion, of food ... etc. But we has human being have a right to enjoy ourselves, and sexuality should be simply enjoyed and accepted ... not exploited, not surpressed.
I'll agree with most of this, sans bad grammar. :D
