height of the ceiling in a studio

I can get 2 pretty big rooms in a youthclub for free. only problem: the ceiling height is only 6,4 feet. does it make any sense to invest money into these rooms?

6.4ft is still terrible. That's almost not enough ceiling to walk into the room. I'd say pass. That's worse than a shitty closet.

EDIT: Well if it's for free give it a shot. It's gonna sound shit in there but for free it can't hurt to see what it's got.

From what i have heard, you should have at the very least 3m(10ft) to get any decent drum recordings.

It can work, but it's nowhere near preferable either dude. You get reflections from the ceiling, and the smaller your ceiling.......well, the worse they are

That's about the height of my garage. It sucks, overheads are REALLY hard to get sounding good and people bump their guitars on beams n stuff all the time. If its your only option you may as well take it, but its worth paying a little more for a bigger room.

If you can touch the ceiling, it's way too low. I'd say minimum is 250cm (thats like ~8', my bedroom is about that tall), preferrably a lot higher.
